Pakistan Monument is situated in Islamabad Punjab , it is considered as a national monument, which represents all the four provinces of Pakistan and 3 territories.

After looking many designs which were designed by architects, Arif Masood’s. The shape of Pakistan monument is like a blooming flower which indicates the Pakistan’s growth as a developed Pakistan country. The four petal like shape of Pakistan monument is representing all the four provinces of Pakistan namely, Baluchistan, KPK, Punjab , Gilgit Baltistan and Sindh. While the other three smaller petals like structure indicates three territories Gilgit, Azad Kashmir and Tribal areas. It reflects the custom and culture of the Pakistan and depicts the story of Pakistan Movement. This is the great and top islamabad historical place.

Ministry of Culture decided to build this monument in Islamabad. National competition was organized by Pakistan Council of Architects Town Planners to introduce different themes regarding signifying strength unity of Pakistani people into a symbol which represents independent and free nation. There were total 20 submissions and in the end Arif Masoud was selected for construction.

Monument of Pakistan is situated in the west of shaker Parian hills, and consuming a total area of 2.8 hectares. The monument is visible from across the cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The stone was laid in 2004 25th may, complex was completed in 2006, inauguration took place in 2007.This projected was of 580 million rupees. The inner walls of four petals are fenced with paintings. Central part is having a shape of five-pointed star and water is surrounding it. The star is surrounded by the sayings of Muhammad Ali Jinnah and Allama Iqbal. Murals inside are based on the Islamic architecture which were ornamented by team of artists led by Zarar Haider and Babri kausar  the team took about 119,000 hours on the artwork.
